Rublev defeats Fritz 6-4, 6-3 in semifinals

MADRID (AP) — Andrey Rublev earned the biggest win of his season on Wednesday, defeating Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-3 to reach the fifth Masters 1000 final of his career at the Mutua Madrid Open.

The seventh-seeded Rublev will face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final on Sunday.

Rublev is seeking his first Masters 1000 title and his second title of the season.
